Weaver, a Top 100 Firm, has acquired the tax practice of Condon & Company, P.C., a firm based in Houston, effective Feb. 1, 2018.
The merger adds three partners—Irma Hernandez, Michael Landry, and Ryan Currie—to Weaver’s Houston office, along with seven other employees. Financial terms were not disclosed. Weaver, based in Fort Worth, Texas, ranked 40th on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms. The firm had $115 million in annual revenue in fiscal year 2017.
“The combination of our teams positions Weaver to increase the value, services and knowledge we bring to companies in Houston, across Texas and across the country,” said Sean Muller, partner-in-charge of Weaver’s Southwest Texas tax and strategic business services, in a statement. “In addition to the new partners and staff, we also add a sizable client base that we can build on in the future.”
Hernandez has more than 13 years of tax and public accounting experience, and specializes in advising private equity firms and oil and gas, manufacturing and hospitality companies on tax compliance and planning strategies. Landry has 22 years of experience and focuses on tax consulting, planning and compliance services to middle-market companies, high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs. Currie has 15 years of experience helping clients with international and domestic tax planning.
Weaver dates back to 1950 and has 95 partners and 725 employees, with offices in nine cities across the country. Condon & Company was founded in 2004. It is based in Houston and also has offices in New York.
