Failure to provide an updated Form 13803 by May 1 may result in removal from the IVES program.
The program had announce a suspension of this deadline in March, but has since rescinded that postponement.
Separately, effective this Oct. 1, IVES user fees will also change.
User fees for transcript requests received in the legacy fax channel for Enterprise File Storage will increase to $4 per transcript requested. Any transcript received on or later than Oct. 1, 2024, in the legacy fax channel will be subject to the $4 user fee. Transcript requests received in the Taxpayer First Act portals, WebUI and Application-to-Application, will temporarily have those user fees waived starting Oct. 1, 2024.
The fee is going up due to additional costs incurred by the IRS, such as increased labor costs, to process each transcript request.
