UHY LLP, a Top 50 Firm based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has expanded to Massachusetts, adding Paresky Flitt & Company LLP, headquartered in Wayland.
The combination will extend UHY's existing presence in the Northeast, where it already has 10 locations across New York, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Around the country, UHY employs over 1,600 professionals, including 148 partners, in 36 U.S. offices. David Lorenzi and Mike Okenquist will continue as managing partners of Paresky Flitt's Wayland, Massachusetts office. All 25 of the firm's employees, including its six partners, will be employed by UHY.
"As we looked to enter Massachusetts, it was important to team up with a local firm that has values similar to UHY's," said Michael Mahoney, Northeast region managing director of UHY, in a statement Monday. "I knew when I met with David and Mike, as well as the leadership team at Paresky Flitt, that there was a clear connection between our firms and our service philosophies. We are thrilled to now have a presence in Massachusetts with a reputable firm that takes client service as seriously as we do and is ranked as one of the largest accounting firms in Massachusetts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. UHY ranked No. 28 on Accounting Today's 2023 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $307.4 million in annual revenue.
Paresky Flitt dates back to 1987. "We place a high value on building strong relationships with our clients and team members, just like UHY," Lorenzi said in a statement Monday. "We are there when our clients need us — even when they don't think they do. In other words, we anticipate potential issues and help develop solutions before they become headaches for our clients and their businesses."
