Top 10 firm RSM US and the PGA Tour announced this week an expansion of RSM's Birdies Fore Love charity program via a competition over the first eight events of the 2018-19 PGA Tour Season.
The three golfers with the most birdies during the first eight events of the tour will be awarded $300,000, $150,000 and $50,000, respectively, for donations to children and family-focused charities of their choice. Winners are asked to donate the funds to organizations focused on education and youth, particularly related to hunger, housing and health. The competition will conclude with the RSM Classic golf tournament in Sea Island, Georgia.
“At RSM, we understand the importance of giving back to the communities where our people live and work,” stated Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO at RSM US. “Stewardship has been one of RSM’s core values since our firm was founded in 1926, and the RSM Classic has been such an amazing way to continue our tradition of giving. We are thrilled to amplify our support of the community through RSM Birdies Fore Love.”
“Our people truly embrace Birdies Fore Love, and together with a match from our RSM US Foundation raised more than $2 million last year alone,” said RSM chief marketing officer Andy Bosman, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to doing even more through the enhanced RSM Birdies Fore Love program in coordination with the PGA Tour.”
RSM and the Davis Love Foundation have donated more than $9 million to over 200 nonprofits across the country since the inception of the RSM Classic in 2010, including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Special Olympics, Blessings in a Backpack and Folds of Honor.
