ReportAmigo, a Xero accounting software add-on designed to make reports easier to interact with and more engaging, has released several updates. The tool now offers aged payments, aged receivables, bank statement and budget summary reports. Added customization options include filtering by tracking categories, and cash-basis reporting. Users can also now preview reports directly from within ReportAmigo while creating new schedules.
The tool has also been generally upgraded to improve report formatting and include previous/next navigation on messages and reports. In addition, the date format has been changed to be more international-friendly.
The free trial has also been amended to not require a credit card at sign up.
California Public Employees’ Retirement System selects Workiva to create CAFR
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) has selected Workiva’s Wdesk to help create its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Wdesk is a cloud-based enterprise management and auditing software-as-a-service platform. A CAFR is a complex financial report that consolidates data from various departments and must be reviewed by an independent auditor to comply with Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements. CalPERS is a defined-benefit public pension fund and manages $330 billion. The organization chose Wdesk to increase efficiency and transparency in its CAFR process from beginning to end, according to Workiva.
