Former Congressman Jim Ramstad, R-Minn., has joined the specialty tax firm alliantgroup as a senior advisor.
Ramstad is the latest high-profile addition to the firm, joining former IRS Commissioner Mark Everson and former Senate Finance Counsel Dean Zerbe in the companys leadership ranks.

Ramstad served in Congress from 1991-2009. He was chairman of the IRS Oversight Subcommittee, a senior member of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee and the Small Business Committee, a member of the Health and Trade Subcommittees and the Joint Economic Committee, and co-chair of the House Medical Technology Caucus. In addition, he was a resident fellow at Harvards Kennedy School of Government, and an adjunct professor of government at American University.
