The Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and its Pennsylvania CPA Foundation have launched a new, four-part podcast series aimed at helping young professionals, titled “Work Your Way to CPA.”
The series is geared toward accounting students and recent college graduates to help them through early career milestones such as preparing for the CPA Exam, earning the CPA license, and securing their first job in the profession. The podcast features advice from CPA Exam review providers, newly licensed CPAs, accounting educators, and recruiters.
"'Work Your Way to CPA' is a result of the collaboration between the PICPA and the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation to help prepare today’s accounting students obtain their CPA [license]," Megan Killian, PICPA vice president of member relations, told Accounting Today. "With the ever-evolving nature of the profession, we wanted to answer popular questions and clarify any misconceptions students have on every stage of the process of becoming a CPA, from studying for the CPA Exam to interviewing for an accounting job. We identified these topics based on the many questions we field from our student members and what we see them looking for on our website.”
