Nexia International, a network of accounting and consulting firms, reported total fee income of $3.62 billion for 2017, a 13 percent increase over the results across its network for 2016.
“This impressive increase in fee income is great news and clearly shows that the network continues to go from strength to strength,” said Nexia International CEO Kevin Arnold in a statement. “These results are clear evidence of the ongoing successful implementation of our long-term growth strategy of recruiting high quality firms in key and emerging world markets.”
The Asia Pacific region experienced growth of 62 percent, thanks in part to China, which more than doubled its growth in consecutive years.
The North and Central America region, Latin America and Europe all reported 8 percent growth, while the Africa region saw growth of 5 percent.
Over the course of last year, Nexia expanded its global footprint by adding new member firms in China, France, Latvia, Nepal and Saudi Arabia.
