The National Conference of CPA Practitioners has installed its 2022-2023 officers and directors, and named past president Neil Fishman the recipient of its Gold Award for outstanding service to his profession, community and NCCPAP.
Frank Sands, of Sands, Gilliland & Co. in Texas, will serve as president, while Norman Fleischer, of Norman M. Fleischer CPA LLC in New Jersey, will serve as executive vice president. Serving as vice presidents will be Gary Brown, Barry Zalk and Sanford Zinman; Sandra Johnson will serve as treasurer; and Kenneth Hauptman as secretary.
Robert Brown, Mary Duff, Michael Hymes, Stephen Palmerio, David Rothfeld, Michael Seidenberg, and Irene Wachsler will serve as directors.
Fishman received the Gold Medal — the organization's most prestigious award, which is not given frequently, and is chosen by previous recipients — for his outstanding service to the accounting profession, to the community, and to NCCPAP. Fishman has served the organization in a number of different roles, including as national president; he has also served on the IRS Advisory Council.
