A new analysis released Tuesday shows how much tax professionals are earning on their annual salaries in the U.S. and in some of the biggest cities in the country.
Researchers at the consulting firm Korn Ferry analyzed an extensive pay database and the U.S. national average of tax professional annual salaries is as follows:
- Tax analyst (one to two years experience): $60,050
- Intermediate tax accountant (two to four years experience): $66,969
- Senior tax accountant (six or more years experience): $99,625
The researchers also analyzed average annual salaries for tax professionals in major cities across the U.S.:
