HBK CPAs & Consultants has signed an agreement for the sole practitioner firm of Michael W. Monahan, CPA, to join HBK, giving HBK an expanded presence in Sarasota, Florida.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. HBK, short for Hill, Barth & King LLC, is based in Canfield, Ohio. The firm ranked 56th on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of the Top 100 Firms. HBK’s total net revenue for fiscal year 2017 was $80 million.
Monahan will be joining HBK, as a senior director at the firm. “We are pleased to welcome Mike into the HBK family and look forward to helping him widen his depth of client resources in that portion of our Gulf Coast service region,” said HBK CEO and Managing Principal Christopher Allegretti in a statement.
Monahan has been serving businesses and individuals in Sarasota for over 40 years. He specializes in estate planning, taxation of high-net worth individuals, and accounting services for small and midsized businesses. His industry focuses include agriculture, distribution, real estate development and professional services. He will be operating from the HBK offices on Main Street in Sarasota.
