Big Four firm Ernst & Young has opened a new Wavespace and Studio in the West Loop Fulton Market district in Chicago. Wavespace and Studio locations are places where EY staff and clients can come together and work on complex tech projects to improve their business.
The new spot in Chicago is a 40,000-square-foot space, designed to immerse staff and clients in a creative journey to solve business challenges and design new products and solutions. Specialized designers and technologists are available to work with clients, from initial exploration and research through concepting, testing and rapid prototyping, all the way to planning delivery of products and solutions to the marketplace.
“Each Wavespace and Studio location is a center of excellence for one or more digital capabilities, such as IoT, AI, user experience, blockchain, cloud, data and analytics, or cybersecurity,” said Jud Snyder, office managing partner of EY Chicago, in a statement. “As part of our firm’s recommitment to Chicago’s West Loop, the EY Chicago Wavespace and Studio will provide correlated and integrated teams that will help clients power ideas and build technologies, products and solutions that solve their toughest business challenges.”
“EY Chicago Wavespace and Studio creates an end-to-end experience from ideation to activation,” said David Nichols, global client service partner and EY Chicago, who also serves as executive sponsor for the lab, in a statement. “Complete with design methods and advanced facilitation capabilities with a suite of digital tools, as well as global subject matter experts to create immersive, high-impact, collaborative client experiences, its services can help address some of the biggest issues businesses face today. Continuing to broaden the EY Wavespace concept into new markets, verticals and fields is an important element to its greater success, and we are looking forward to the great things the Chicago Wavespace and Studio will help create.”
