Expensify launches corporate card for CPAs

Payments and expense management solution provider Expensify has released a smart card aimed specifically at CPAs.

The Expensify CPA Card, which the company says is the first of its kind, includes a host of CPA-focused benefits, including:

  • Free membership in the American Institute of CPAs (Expensify is a preferred partner with CPA.com, the institute’s technology arm);
  • Free state-by-state CPA certification renewal;
  • Free CPE credit reimbursement;
  • Free access to 3 CPE credits with ExpensifyApproved! University;
  • Free Expensify CPA Cards for the firm and its clients; and,
  • Free premium upgrades for the firm, and $9-per-seat flat fee for clients.

“Expensify is already used by nearly half of the top 100 CPA firms in the U.S. We used that expertise and experience to build the first card program that caters directly to the accounting profession and their clients,” founder and CEO David Barrett said in a statement.

The card provides continuous reconciliation between Expensify and several integrated accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct and NetSuite, allowing firm administrators insights into the firm’s financials.

It includes a high monthly revolving credit limit with no credit check personal guarantees required, and gives firms access to dedicated partner managers who can help with strategy, client onboarding and training.

Expensify said it plans to add more time-saving benefits to the card in the future.
