Eide Bailly LLP has added cloud technology firm Tactical Cloud, a NetSuite partner, effective Feb. 25, 2019.
The merger will bring extra expertise in cloud technology and enterprise resource planning software to Eide Bailly’s existing NetSuite practice in Southern California.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Eide Bailly’s revenue last year was $293 million, while Tactical Cloud had $3 million in annual revenue. Eide Bailly has 270 partners and approximately 2,000 staff members, to which Tactical Cloud will add another six staff members.
Eide Bailly, based in Fargo, North Dakota, ranked 21st on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of the Top 100 Firms. Tactical Cloud is based in Costa Mesa, California.
The announcement comes at a time when more accounting firms are expanding their cloud technology consulting practices. Tactical Cloud has doubled in size each year since it was founded in 2015, while NetSuite has seen global growth more than triple its closest competitor, according to recent Gartner research. Eide Bailly has been a close partner of NetSuite, earning NetSuite Americas Partner of the Year status in 2017 and 2018, and winning NetSuite Worldwide Partner of the Year in 2015, and NetSuite 5-Star Award Winner in 2013 through 2018.

Along with being a NetSuite partner, Eide Bailly’s technology practice offers Salesforce CRM, Microsoft cloud, Adaptive Insights financial planning and analysis and data analytics consulting.

Last year, Eide Bailly did a number of mergers, including with
