Dixon Hughes Goodman acquires JC Griffin

Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, a Top 100 Firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is acquiring JC Griffin LLC, a Fort Worth, Texas-based consulting firm that specializes in data analytics for health care businesses, effective Jan. 2, 2019.

JCG offers data extraction, normalization and visualization technology to help health providers improve their operations and performance.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dixon Hughes Goodman ranked 17th on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $404 million in annual revenue. Last year, the firm had 239 partners and 1,327 professionals. JCG's team members are relocating to DHG's office in Fort Worth.

“The addition of JCG’s data analytics capabilities enhances our portfolio firmwide, and we plan to strategically grow this practice area in the future,” said DHG CEO Matt Snow in a statement. “We welcome JCG to our DHG team and our Fort Worth office, and we are excited to continue to provide our clients with innovative service offerings and solutions.”

Dixon Hughes Goodman plans to use JC Griffin’s technology within its DHG Healthcare unit’s Achieve solution set, which focuses on optimizing the performance of medical practices. JC Griffin’s technology is able to harvest data from multiple sources and display information to help improve the performance of health care providers. DHG expects the enhanced data analytics capabilities to be applied in other areas of the firm in the future.

“DHG provides the right platform to drive growth and more urgently advance the legacy JCG assets. I look forward to seeing how our capabilities will enhance DHG’s Enterprise Intelligence portfolio and bring more valuable tools to the marketplace,” stated former JCG CEO Dan Martinsen.
