Deltek buys public sector market intelligence company Onvia

Deltek, a provider of enterprise software for project-based businesses, has acquired Onvia, a market intelligence company for businesses that sell to the government sector.

Deltek provides management solutions for accounting firms; practices that have an interest in earning government contracts may benefit from Deltek’s latest acquisition.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Deltek’s business offerings for accounting firms consist of solutions for client, staff and talent management, based on platforms developed by Maconomy, a company acquired by Deltek in 2010.

Onvia provides business customers with federal, state and local government contracting leads. The goal of the acquisition is for Deltek to combine its software for tracking government business contract opportunities, Govwin IQ, with Onvia’s capabilities, to create a more comprehensive public sector market intelligence product.
