Deloitte US asked its employees working on government contracts to remove gender pronouns from their email signatures and dropped its broader diversity and inclusion programs.

A separate email sent Monday also said Deloitte US would "sunset" its diversity goals, a yearly DEI report and the firm's DEI "programming." But the firm added that it will continue some initiatives such as heritage month events, internal ethnic networks and "inclusion councils," and would continue improving hiring practices to make them "fair and non-discriminatory."
"Everyone is welcome at Deloitte," the email said, asking staff to "please take care of each other."
Meanwhile, Deloitte UK indicated on Tuesday that it would double down on its diversity policies, according to the FT. Deloitte UK senior partner and CEO told staff in an internal email that diversity "remains a priority," despite the U.S. firm's shift.
Deloitte US and Deloitte UK did not immediately respond to Accounting Today's request for comment.
