Beyond the software's data analysis and forecasting capacities, it aids in scenario planning and provides a range of adaptive and optimized solutions for companies. The tool takes into account the specific requirements and circumstances of each business and suggests a range of steps toward sustainability.
"One of the biggest issues business leaders face is sourcing and finding the fit-for-purpose technologies that can support their specific decarbonization needs," said Dilip Krishna, Deloitte's global sustainability and climate chief technology officer, in a statement. "As a true enterprise solution for decarbonization, GreenLight Solution is grounded in real world project experience and built on a vision to combine technology, Deloitte services, and an ecosystem of alliances. It is uniquely positioned to tackle this challenge and help our clients feel confident in their ability to take concrete steps to move from strategy to action."
Deloitte noted that the solution's launch comes at a critical time for businesses around the world, as the United Nations has set a goal to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. This will require a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and businesses have a crucial role to play in reaching this target.
