National CPA and business advisory firm has acquired Durkin Forensic, a Los Angeles-based forensic accounting firm.
Terms of the purchase, which becomes effective January 1, were not disclosed.
The merger marks the sixth for Clifton Gunderson since May.
Earlier this year, the firm acquired St. Louis, Mo.-based Humes & Barrington and Stockton Bates, Evanston of Philadelphia, among others.
Ronald Durkin will join Clifton Gunderson as partner and its National Practice Leader of Fraud and Misconduct Investigations. Durkin has a 35-year background in forensic investigation and bankruptcy, including more than 10 years as a special agent with the FBI.
He founded Durkin Forensic in 2008.
Clifton Gunderson ranked No. 14 on Accounting Today's 2010 Top 100 Firms list with revenues of $251 million.
