Capital One credit card feeds are now live in Xero, allowing business owners to manage their credit card spending within their accounting software.
Live card feeds from Wells Fargo, Silicon Valley Bank and City National Bank, among others, are also available in Xero.
Xero began its partnership with Capital One in May, shortly Keri Gohman, a long-time executive at the bank, joined the accounting software company in December 2016. Xero’s relationship with Capital One was well in the works before Gohman made the move, according to Ryan Himmel, financial partnerships lead for Xero Americas — Gohman decided to join Xero after working with the company on the partnership.
“Capital One is a very innovative bank and small business card company,” Himmel said. “From a culture perspective, both Capital One and Xero are focused on customer experience.”
Himmel noted that Capital One has an attractive credit card rewards program for small business owners, so integrating the card data into Xero would empower small business users of the accounting software to get more cash back.
