Top 50 Firm UHY has merged in Michigan-based accounting firm Baird, Cotter & Bishop PC, effective June 12.
Founded in 1924 in Cadillac, BC&B offers a full range of audit, accounting and tax services, concentrating heavily on local government audits. Its two offices, in Cadillac and Traverse City, will bring UHY up to a total of nine offices in Michigan.
"Baird, Cotter & Bishop has vast experience serving government entities, which will deepen our bench as a trusted service provider to the public sector," said UHY's Great Lakes regional managing partner, Tom Callan, in a statement.
Terms were not disclosed, but the deal is expected to add 40 team members to UHY, including four partners: BC&B managing partner Trent Mulder, and Scott Hunter, Michael Cool and Ryan Howell.
UHY ranked No. 28 in Accounting Today's 2023 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $307 million in revenue, 122 partners and over 1,500 staff. BC&B is expected to add approximately $6 million in revenue.
