AAM names 2022 Marketer of the Year

Allison Schlegelmilch, director of marketing at Pennsylvania firm RKL LLP, received the Association for Accounting Marketing’s 2022 Marketer of the Year award at AAM’s Annual Summit on Monday.

Schlegelmilch joined RKL in November 2012 as a communications manager before being promoted to director of marketing in 2015. Schlegelmilch heads RKL's brand visibility, awareness and engagement strategies, leading a team of nine marketing professionals. A Certified Digital Marketing Professional and a Professional Certified Marketer, Schlegelmilch is also a member of the American Marketing Association.

Schlegelmilch was honored for her efforts in turning RKL’s brand from a regional firm into a national presence, increasing the demand for RKL’s advisory services across new markets.

“Allison’s ability to create meaningful connections with audiences through integrated marketing campaigns routinely generates new business and opportunities for our firm,” said RKL CEO Ed Monborne, per a statement. “She forgoes short-term tactics in favor of strategic initiatives that advance our goals and address emerging needs of clients and the marketplace.”

“There’s never been a time in the accounting and professional services industry where the unique talents and perspectives of marketers have been more vital," Schlegelmilch said in a statement. "Between changing consumer behaviors, diversification in service offerings and technological advancement, the role that we play in creating future-ready firms is significant. It’s an honor to be recognized for those efforts.”
