Nonprofit-focused accounting software developer Blackbaud, Inc. previewed some of the upcoming features in its fundraising software The Raiser’s Edge, including a way to score donors, database administration improvements, and a mobile application.
The database administration operational improvements will be available to customers in March, while the mobile app should be available during the first half of the year.
The Raiser’s Edge version 7.92 is designed to help nonprofits find their best donors with a feature known as The Giving Score, which will be available for U.S.-based organizations. The analytical feature segments a nonprofit’s constituent database into four different groups, allowing organizations to focus their cultivation and solicitation efforts on those donors who are more likely and capable to give to help the organization raise more money. The Raiser’s Edge Search module is needed to take advantage of this new feature.
The new version will also help nonprofits better engage their supporters through a query lists feature that will be available for constituent, individual, or organizational queries. Improved duplicate management will help keep data clean and accurate within the system.
Changes have also been made to the search screen, enabling users to search on email and phone information.
“The Raiser’s Edge is the go-to solution for fundraisers and has become the most widely used donor management solution in the world,” said Blackbaud senior vice president of products and marketing Jana Eggers. “The new version, which includes a built-in segmentation tool to help nonprofits best identify and target prospective donors, will make organizations even more efficient and effective, helping them dedicate more time to their missions. The new year will also bring a mobile application for The Raiser’s Edge, enabling fundraisers to access profile and giving data on-the-go.”
