Postponed or rescheduled: Coronavirus impacts accounting conferences

Several organizations have postponed their conferences and events in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The list below will be updated on a continuous basis; if your organization has an event that has been affected, please email details to AcToday@Arizent.com.

ITA Spring Collaborative

RESCHEDULED: The Information Technology Alliance is postponing the ITA Spring Collaborative, originally scheduled for April 20-22 in Savannah, until July 26-28, 2020, to still be hosted at the Westin Savannah.

SuiteWorld

RESCHEDULED: SuiteWorld, Oracle NetSuite’s annual user conference, has been rescheduled from April 20-23 to Aug. 10-13, 2020, still to be held at The Venetian Resort and the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas.

AICPA CFO Conference

RESCHEDULED: The AICPA CFO Conference, originally scheduled for April 22-24, has been rescheduled for Sept. 16-18, 2020, at Loews Coronado Bay in Coronado, California.

AAM Summit

UPDATE: AAM has canceled the 2020 AAM Summit. While AAM had previously planned to co-locate with the AICPA at ENGAGE in 2021, it wil now hold a standalone summit at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia May 24-27, 2021.

POSTPONED: The Association for Accounting Marketers has postponed its AAM Summit, originally scheduled for May 5-8 in Philadelphia, and is working to secure a new day for the event.

Avalara Crush

RESCHEDULED: Avalara has postponed its annual Crush user conference, originally scheduled for May 12-14 in St. Louis, to Oct. 28-30, 2020, in the same location.

Sage Summit

POSTPONED: Sage Summit US, originally scheduled for May 12-14 at the Gaylord Palms Resort Orlando, will be postponed until later this year, with a new date to be announced.

XCM XCHANGE User Conference

CANCELED: The XCM XCHANGE User Conference, scheduled for May 31-June 2 in San Diego, has been canceled. XCM will be sharing booking information for the 2021 XCHANGE User Conference as soon as it is available.

AICPA Engage

UPDATE: The AICPA announced ENGAGE 2020 will be an all-digital event with the core conference taking place online from July 20–24. More information is available here.

POSTPONED: The American Institute of CPAs and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants announced that accounting and finance conference Engage 2020, originally scheduled for June 7-11 in Las Vegas, will be postponed to an unspecified date later this year.

Scaling New Heights

RESCHEDULED: The Scaling New Heights conference, originally scheduled for June 21-24 in St. Louis, will now be hosted Sept. 20-23, 2020, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

The Accounting & Finance Show New York

RESCHEDULED: The Accounting & Finance Show New York, originally scheduled for July 14-15 at the Javits Center in New York, was rescheduled for Sep. 22-23, 2020, in the same location.

NATP TaxCon

The National Association of Tax Professionals is hosting its 2020 TaxCon event online July 27-31, 2020.

Sage Intacct Advantage 2020 goes ahead, virtually

SWITCHED TO VIRTUAL: Sage Intacct still plans to hold its annual user conference, Sage Intacct Advantage, this year — virtually. The exact dates have not been announced yet, but it will be held, as usual, in October.

The pre-conference Partner Summit and partner training sessions will be canceled, but the information typically distributed therein will be distributed through other channels, with further updates to be provided during the Sage Intacct Partner Summit event in Spring 2021. Additional updates will be posted to the Advantage website when available. Attendees can read the FAQs to learn more and stay up to date.

ClientWhys TaxCPE Tax Update & Review Seminar

RESCHEDULED: ClientWhys TaxCPE rescheduled its Tax Update & Review Seminar, to originally run between Nov. 1-21 at 10 locations throughout California, to be an online-only, virtual event. The event is now scheduled as a 16-hour update from November through January, with details available here.

ITA Summer Collaborative

The Information Technology Alliance announced its first virtual ITA Collaborative, with tracks and sessions to be held via Zoom between July 21 and August 12. More information is available here.

KSU Department of Accounting Accounting and Technology Conference

The Kansas State University Department of Accounting will host its second annual Accounting and Technology Conference on Oct. 22-23 in an online-only format.

SYNERGY User Conference 2020

Thomson Reuters' SYNGERY 2020 user conference for tax and accounting professionals will be held Nov. 10-13 in a virtual setting. Registration is available here.

The IIA's International Conference

The Institute of Internal Auditors has moved the full program of its global event for internal auditors, International Conference 2020, to a virtual platform. Previously scheduled to be held in South Florida, the three-day conference Nov. 2-4 will now be offered online.
