Marcum acquires CLA’s Enhanced Managed Services division

Marcum Technology, the tech arm of Top 25 firm Marcum, announced its acquisition of the IT Enhanced Managed Services division of Top 10 firm CliftonLarsonAllen. The acquisition expands Marcum's own IT Enhanced Managed Services by providing access to CLA's portfolio of consulting and outsourcing services, as well as adding expertise in both the health care and banking industries. The acquisition expands Marcum Technology's ability to offer solutions, such as business continuity and disaster recovery planning, cybersecurity, and technology advisory and strategy. Former CLA team members, led by Tim McFarland, vice president of managed IT services, have already joined Marcum Technology as of the beginning of this month. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vertex consolidates Accelerator and Chain Flow Accelerator into single solution

Tax technology solutions provider Vertex launched Accelerator+ for SAP ERP, a tax management tool that combines the features of Vertex Accelerator and Vertex Chain Flow Accelerator into a single consolidated global solution, unifying setup, configuration, reporting and tax management for global and domestic needs. It provides a common SAP menu to support multiple tax types and integration approaches. Improvements to Accelerator+ align the product more closely with SAP's development strategy for cloud readiness. Accelerator+ enhances SAP's support for U.S. companies in chain transactions and enables North American entities to calculate VAT, as well as foreign entities to calculate U.S. and Canadian taxes. All key features of Vertex Accelerator and Vertex Chain Flow Accelerator are present in Vertex Accelerator+ for SAP ERP. This includes centralized management, simplified data field mapping, tax code management, precise tax jurisdiction identification, queue maintenance tool, reporting, enhanced VAT chain flow mapping, visualized chain flow process and scalable options for VAT determination.

Recurly and Redfast partner on subscriber retention solution

Subscription management and billing platform Recurly partnered with Redfast, a subscriber personalization and engagement solutions provider, to create a lifecycle engagement tool that drives personalized in-app experiences to keep subscribers engaged and increase brand loyalty. The solution allows users to predict subscribers who are likely to cancel and create personalized cancellation flows to save them. One-click calls to action automatically make changes to subscriptions in Recurly (i.e. add-ons, pause, change plans, apply coupons). Other features include personalized onboarding of new users; and real-time prompts based on actions and segments across desktop and mobile web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and Samsung TV. Users can A/B test variations to drive conversions and optimize revenue; and prompt customers at various phases, from acquisition to renewal, upgrading and cancellation.

Insightsoftware acquires Fiplana, FXLoader

Insightsoftware, a financial analytics technology provider, plans to acquire Fiplana, a Qlik financial planning and analysis software solution that facilitates direct data editing, process planning and cost management. With this deal, insightsoftware will deepen its operational planning, reporting and analytics capabilities within the Qlik ecosystem. It will also complement insightsoftware's products. Insightsoftware also announced the acquisition of FXLoader, a U.K.-based provider of automated exchange rate loading software for enterprise resource planning systems. FXLoader integrates with ERP systems including Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud, Workday and SAP to automate the calculations required for multicurrency accounting.
