Cloud accounting software provider Xero announced a multiyear global agreement with PKF International. This means Xero has become the preferred cloud accounting solution for PKF member firms serving small to midsized business clients. Similarly, the company has welcomed PKF International as its first Xero Global Partner, offering tailored membership benefits and support for Xero products.

FloQast launches new digital learning portal

Accounting automation software company FloQast launched an online learning portal, FloQadamy. It offers a library of courses taught by accountants and auditors, focusing on best practices as well as FloQast’s products. Among other things, they cover demonstrations, customer case studies, videos and knowledge checks. The portal provides certifications, including a Close Management Certification badge, which formalize skill attainment. The company plans to add CPE content in the future. 

Expensify rolls out monthly settlement feature

Expense management software company Expensify has added a monthly settlement feature to its card programs. Users of the Expensify Card or Expensify CPA Card can now either settle purchases across all cards grouped by day or by month. In either case, payment is automatically withdrawn from the user’s bank account.

KPMG enters partnerships with E2Open, Intapp

E2open, a supply chain management platform, announced a strategic partnership with Big Four firm KPMG to launch a supply chain-oriented accounting practice. The new practice will use technology adoption, services and expertise to help clients with supply chain challenges. Meanwhile, KPMG AG in Germany has also entered into a strategic partnership with cloud software provider Intapp.  Intapp’s industry-specific cloud solutions will combine with KPMG’s experience in technology, process, risk, regulatory and security services to assist clients with digital transformation.

AuditSight raises $4 million

Audit software company AuditSight announced $4 million in seed funding from Hyde Park Venture Partners, which provided the money in response to recent growth at the technology provider. The company's digital platform eliminates manual detail testing and uses APIs to access client records, verifies the accounting records against third-party data sources, and produces GAAS-compliant work papers.

Tax software provider Sovos said its Filing for NetSuite SuiteTax solution has achieved “Built for” status, which means users can populate data straight from NetSuite SuiteTax and create sales tax returns for submission to government agencies. … Accounting-centered online payment company CPACharge has partnered with tax software company IRS Solutions to provide users with digital payment options and extra security for tax professionals working on resolution cases with the IRS. … Analytics and performance management solutions provider insightsoftware announced that its financial and business reporting software, Jet Reports, is now compatible with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financial & Supply Chain Management. … Cin7, which provides inventory management solutions, announced a strategic product bundle with QuickBooks, which allows product sellers to connect their cloud accounting software with Cin7’s cloud inventory management solution. … Credit card company American Express announced a collaboration with accounts receivable automation company Billtrust, which will allow suppliers to automate and accelerate virtual card payments from customers while receiving a real-time view of their outstanding invoices and current cash flow. … Financial institution TD Bank said it is collaborating with fintech company FISPAN, allowing the bank’s commercial customers to automate cash management processes directly from their ERP software.
