RSM announces "RSM Catamaran" suite of outsourced solutions

Top 10 Firm RSM announced today that that it has launched RSM Catamaran, a suite of integrated, outsourced solutions for middle-market companies. RSM Catamaran offers an integrated, industry-focused suite of outsourced solutions to help organizations manage and maintain back-office functions such as finance, accounting, and tax; managed IT and managed applications; security, governance and risk; and human capital. Described as a "premium service" on its website, RSM Catamaran combines access to strategic business leaders in a range of industries with software solutions that supports client in their particular industries. 

 

Avalara announces AvaTax for Accounts Payable

Tax software provider Avalara announced expanded capabilities of AvaTax with AvaTax for Accounts Payable, which helps ensure more accurate tax calculation by identifying both over- and underpaid taxes on purchases. It offers sales and purchase compliance functionality across a broad spectrum of areas and geographies all in one unified platform, plus the ability to allocate tax automatically with customized and advanced transaction rules, integration with popular purchasing systems through pre-built integrations and API capabilities, and support for batch uploads of purchase transactions. Both batch and real-time transactions are accessible and actionable through a consolidated dashboard.

Sage Copilot launches in U.S.

Business and accounting solutions provider Sage announced that its Sage Copilot, first unveiled in February, will now be coming to United States, following successful early adoption in the U.K. Overall, Sage Copilot is being steadily integrated into one product at a time, but rather than being a feature of any one particular solution, it is intended to be used across Sage products through the use of specialized "agents" that are purpose-built to do one thing really well, such as interacting with certain types of data, executing specific queries, or engaging with specific software products. Sage Copilot has access to multiple agents, each built to communicate with a different product, whether Sage Intaact, Sage HR or something else. Sage Copilot automates workflows, identifies errors and generates actionable insights for businesses and accountants' needs, as well as helping with forecasting, cashflow management and generating and sending invoices with simple, natural language commands.

Ramp announces 'App Center'

Financial operations platform Ramp announced the launch of the Ramp App Center, an open ecosystem that gives customers pre-built integrations and gives developers ways to build and scale across Ramp's customer base in one central hub. Customers can now use Ramp's App Center to access 200-plus integrations from over 75-plus technology partners, ranging from major software providers like NetSuite and QuickBooks, to emerging players like Puzzle, Digits, and Campfire, contract lifecycle management tools like Ironclad, and equity and fund management solutions like Carta. Bill360 announces product updates

AR automation platform Bill360 announced a set of product upgrades focused on efficiency and security beyond the transaction processing, client communications and customer support functions it already has. The platform will now allow clients to select multiple invoices and send email notifications in bulk, possibly using new email templates that enable clients to deliver personalized messages branded with their company logo. Users can also manually enable or disable credit card payments, and set threshold amounts, for each invoice and/or customer. Further, the platform now enables buyers to make one-time payments, such as with a single-use virtual card. Buyers can also choose whether they want to make or schedule a payment by accessing the client portal or pay directly from the invoice emails they receive. Brex launches Accounting Partnership Program

Payments and accounting solutions provider Brex announced a revamped Brex Accounting Partnership Program, with a suite of new product experiences, services, and dedicated programs. The platform now offers multicurrency support with locally issued cards and global bill pay to minimize foreign exchange costs; multi-entity support, including customizable policies per region or currency, and local tax regulation support; direct API access for scalable account management; premium integrations with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and tens of other ERPs for real-time syncing; AI-powered accounting to automate coding and close the books daily; and automated accruals support, where incomplete transactions are sent to clearing accounts at end of month, and auto-reverse when transactions settle. There is also a new bill draft and management feature, which is a portal for accounting firms to link, access, and assign bookkeepers and accountants to the Brex accounts they are working in. Brex has also added new capabilities for third-party accounting firms, to also prepare and draft bills as part of its bill-pay solution. With the partnership program, Brex also offers revenue share for referred clients, an accounting portal to streamline account management, special offers and access to Brex's accounting directory.

Partnerships and integrations

Business solutions provider Red Wing Software announced a partnership with ACH payments provider NatPay, giving users of Red Wing Software's CenterPoint Payroll software an alternative for direct deposit. Payroll service providers can now distribute direct deposit payments directly while processing pay runs in CenterPoint. … Professional services and solutions provider Genpact introduced its new Finance Data Hub, powered by the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Finance Data Hub consolidates structured and unstructured data, such as contracts across operations, supply chain, financial planning, tax, and treasury, into one central platform.

Universal Business Computing Company, a provider of high-volume, high-productivity software for accounting and payroll professionals, announced the purchase of all of its stock by Pioneer Accounting Group, based in Seattle. UBCC, which offers modular solutions to a wide range of accounting and finance purposes, will retain all current employees and will continue working on new payroll portal functionality. UBCC co-founder Ken Garen will remain as a consultant for a few months during the transition. Terms of the deal, which was finalized Sept. 30, 2024, were not disclosed. … AuditBoard, an audit and compliance platform, announce the appointment of Justin Greenberger as chief customer officer. He joins AuditBoard from UiPath, where he spent the past six years overseeing customer success teams throughout the company's IPO and in its early stages as a public company. He was formerly CIO at General Electric and GE Digital.
