Intuit to acquire HR software platform GoCo

Intuit has signed an agreement to acquire GoCo, indicating an intention to expand into modern human resources and benefits solutions for small and mid-market businesses. GoCo, founded in 2015, is a platform offering solutions for recruiting, new hire onboarding, talent management, HR workflows, document management and e-signatures, employee benefits, time and attendance tracking, payroll, compliance, reporting and analytics as well as core HR capacities. It also includes AI features for HR questions, document generation, summarization and receipt scanning. As GoCo's AI tools complement Intuit's own data, AI capabilities and human experts, its features will be integrated into Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Payroll. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Emburse launches new mobile app with AI

Travel and expense solutions provider Emburse announced a new mobile app that provides an integrated experience for employees and managers globally, with advanced automation powered by Emburse AI. Emburse AI understands context, predicts missing or unclear information, and adapts to different data formats for data extraction. Now available in the new Emburse Enterprise mobile app, Emburse AI delivers receipt capture capacities to auto-populate expense details, handle expense reporting, and provide reimbursement on the go. Other features of the refreshed app include multilingual functionality and AI-powered OCR transcription for business travelers around the world;  AI-powered receipt capture and a toolset that includes auto-capture, receipt border detection, customizable cropping, PDF upload, and multipage capture for extra long receipts and multipage folios. It provides a personalized, actionable dashboard for expense capture, review and submission; support for both full and partial expense report approvals as well as pre-approvals of invoices and purchase orders; and secure single sign-on login for security and compliance, offline access, and a scalable foundation for future travel and expense innovations.

Bill announce new procurement capabilities

Payments solutions provider Bill announced new procurement capabilities to unify procure-to-pay workflows with AP, AR, Spend & Expense, and Insights & Forecasting in a single platform. Bill Procurement enables users to harness AI to streamline procure-to-pay workflows, as well as access approval routing and automated invoice matching. The company also announced the availability of Bill Multi-entity, which lets users add new entities and manage payments, expenses and approvals across multiple organizations within one platform, as well as gain centralized financial oversight with cash flow management, bill approvals and payment processing across entities. Finally, the company announced an API platform that lets users integrate Bill's financial capabilities into their existing systems to streamline workflows across AP, AR and Spend & Expense, as well as build and automate custom financial processes.

Accounting Seed adds AI Invoice Capture feature

Accounting Seed, which makes accounting and finance software built on Salesforce, released a new AI Invoice Capture feature within its AP Automation solution to streamline invoice processing. The solution goes beyond traditional optical character recognition, as it uses AI to predict how to populate key fields in an invoice such as the general ledger expense account, product and project based on historical behavior, to encourage consistency and reduce data entry time. Overall, the feature combines capturing fields (such as amount and date) with predicting fields (based on learned user behavior) into a single workflow.

Audit and risk management platform AuditBoard released its RegComply solution to help organizations stay on top of changing regulations and manage their compliance programs with integrated risk insight. The solution includes AI capabilities from AuditBoard and is powered by regulatory change and obligations data from Cube RegPlatform, a global regulatory intelligence solution provider. Customers can leverage regulatory content powered by Cube and available from within AuditBoard's platform to view regulations from various sources and receive proactive notifications about new regulations and updates. They can also get a centralized view of all risks, controls, policies and issues, so they can assess the impact of new regulations on their governance, risk and compliance environment. The solution also offers AI-powered workflows for mapping obligations to existing risks, controls, policies and issues. The capabilities were designed with input from AuditBoard design customers who participated in a beta program.

BlackCloak releases anti-deepfake Identity Verification solution

Digital executive protection solutions provider BlackCloak launched an Identity Verification solution to protect users from impersonation and scam campaigns, including deepfake-powered attacks targeting high-profile executives and individuals. BlackCloak's new Identity Verification feature targets phishing campaigns, such as deepfakes, by allowing the user to prompt the sender to validate they are who they claim to be through the BlackCloak mobile app. The new feature aims to combat deepfakes made with synthetic media, facial manipulation, voice cloning and behavioral mimicry. It's in addition to the company's existing services that include data broker removal, privacy protections, monitoring and safeguarding of devices, home networks and smart home technology.

Cyber, governance, risk and compliance platform LogicGate added an Automated Control Gap Analysis feature to its Risk Cloud platform. Now organizations can conduct an Automated Control Gap Analysis to identify coverage gaps and cross-map their security capabilities across different frameworks. The Automated Control Gap Analysis feature identifies overlaps between regulatory and compliance requirements, allowing organizations to generate a gap analysis report with just a few clicks, rather than manually constructing and reviewing data spreadsheets.
