CPA.com announces updates to Dynamic Audit Solution

CPA.com announced a raft of new capacity updates for its Dynamic Audit Solution. They include newly supported industries such as technology, real estate, dealerships, depository and lending institutions, investment companies and insurance, with additional industry content for state and local governments to be released in the coming months. Central planning allows risk assessments and responses to risks to be managed from a central entity, enabling auditors to modify elements of the individual entities to further streamline workflows. Users now have the ability to create new custom tests for specific needs, and link tests to specific risks.

Corecentric enhances International Tax Management Engine

Procurement and finance solutions provider Corecentric upgraded its International Tax Management Engine, aimed at streamlining geographic-specific tax calculations, while bringing broad global compliance services and document accuracy and automation to accounts payable customers. Specifically, users can set custom rules that enable automatic tax rate calculations tailored to their business practices and geographies throughout workflows, automating tax entries for both invoices and accruals. It also adapts to the evolving regulatory landscape, particularly in regions with strict e-invoicing and e-compliance mandates, and allows tax applications to reflect regional requirements down to each transaction's unique context. 

Intuit updates QuickBooks Solopreneur and Intuit Enterprise Suite, launches QuickBooks Customer Hub

Intuit announced a series of product updates, as well as the rollout of a new solution. As with clients using other QuickBooks Online subscriptions, accountants can now access a solopreneur client's books through QuickBooks Online Accountant, which includes the ability to review a client's Chart of Accounts and transactions, conduct reconciliations, and access client account registers, journal entries and reports. Intuit Enterprise Suite, meanwhile, now has improved multi-entity accounting and financial management, dimensions and business intelligence, recurring payments, industry-specific customizations, and a dedicated partnership via a new Intuit Enterprise Suite training subscription. Finally, Intuit launched QuickBooks Customer Hub powered by Mailchimp. Users can encourage customers to rate and share their satisfaction and experience; connect with prospective customers by giving current customers a way to recommend their product or service to others; and automate the process for existing customers to request repeat or new business.

Financial data solutions provider Validis announced strategic investments from Citi and Barclays. Citi and Barclays will leverage Validis' platform to automate financial monitoring, deliver underwriting-ready data, and reduce application and credit review time. The investment enables Validis to accelerate its growth while benefiting from the strategic guidance of two global lenders. The investment will fund continued product innovation and expanded sales and marketing efforts. … CPA.com has formed a partnership with Blue J, a generative AI research tool company, to connect firms of all sizes to Blue J products in order to streamline a firm's research processes and support them in delivering actionable insights to clients. Blue J will be offered to firms through CPA.com's Preferred Partner Program, which supports CPA firms in expanding and elevating their advisory services through best-in-class technology solutions. Through this program, CPA.com will also provide practice development and training to help firms optimize the use of this technology... Cloud accounting solutions company AccountsIQ announced its acquisition of ExpenseIn, an expense management software product. ExpenseIn, which joins the AccountsIQ Group and will continue trading under its existing name, shares AccountsIQ's values and customer-centric approach. Founded in 2015, the company processes over a million expenses every month and has a customer base that spans over 40 countries. Its customers include Ascot, Corpay and Bath Rugby.

Payment software company Bill announced Keri Gohman and Dan Wernikoff have joined the company's board of directors. Gohman is currently a board member at Caret and was previously the CEO. She is also a board member at Practice Tek, and has served as an operating partner and senior advisor at technology investment firm Bain Capital Ventures. Wenikoff most recently served as CEO of LegalZoom, the business formation platform, where he led the company through significant growth and a major shift to a subscription-based business model. … Back office finance solutions provider Zone and Co. has appointed Steven Bachert as chief revenue officer. Bachert will lead Zone's go-to-market strategy to accelerate its next phase of growth and expansion. Bachert joins Zone from Expana, where he served as chief revenue officer and chief commercial officer. … Top 10 firm Baker Tilly announced the appointment of Amy Bogac as chief information security officer, effective Jan. 13, 2025.
