Xero debuts "reconcile period" feature

Xero Denver
Small business solutions platform Xero announced that, by popular demand, it is introducing a new "reconcile period" feature in its bank reconciliation solution. Reconcile period enables users to compare bank statement against their Xero accounting transactions so they can define a period with a date range and balance to easily compare to statement lines; spot missing, duplicate or incorrect transactions; confirm completion and accuracy by saving a period when it balances; protect the transactions for the period from being changed; and create a reconciliation report as a lasting record. The new workflow doesn't change Xero's real-time bank rec workflow; it's an optional addition. Xero said it will soon add the ability for a user to attach their PDF bank statement to their reconciliation as well.
