People on the move: Andy Armanino named Moore Global chairman

BKD names three office managing partners; LBMC appoints SALT leader; and more personnel news.

CALIFORNIA

Andy Armanino

Andy Armanino, former managing partner of Armanino and current board member of the Armanino Foundation, San Ramon, was named the new chairman of Moore Global, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Armanino succeeds Richard Moore, who will step down after 15 years as chairman of Moore Stephens International, now Moore Global.

Allison Mnookin, software executive and most recently CEO of Quick Base, was appointed to the board of directors at Bill.com.

FLORIDA

Ben Osbrach, partner in the risk advisory practice, and Dori Marlin, marketing and business development consultant, at Skoda Minotti, Tampa, were selected as members of the 2019 Business Observer 40 Under 40 class, recognizing the region’s top young entrepreneurs.

Jean Caragher (pictured), president of Capstone Marketing, Palm Harbor, became a certified instructor of Fore’s Advanced Pricing Methods, created by Fore president and pricing leader Micheller River.

MISSOURI

BKD, St. Louis, announced three new office managing partners: Rachel Dwiggins in the Kansas City office, Jeff Naig in Des Moines and Madison, and Chris Dalton as MP of the transaction advisory services division. All three appointments are effective June 1, 2020.

NEW YORK

Tamara Clark, member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and the National Association of Black Accountants, was elected treasurer of the United Methodist Women board of directors, New York.

Lumsden & McCormick, New York, announced that four staff members earned their CPA licenses: Isabella Conidi, staff accountant, Alex Darrow, tax accountant, John George, member of the assurance department, and Alex Reid, member of the assurance department.

PENNSYLVANIA

Kyle Levengood

Kyle Levengood (pictured) was promoted to partner in the auditing and accounting group at Herbein + Co., Reading.

Zachary Foust, James Farano, Mark Robert Phillippy and Bethany Spencer were hired as accounting associates at Boyer & Ritter, Camp Hill.

Kristy Ferraro, Kamna Kanesh, Christopher Kassay and April Maschke of Baker Tilly, Philadelphia, were honored with the 2019 Young Leaders Award by the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, recognizing PICPA members under the age of 40 who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the profession.

TENNESSEE

Jay Hancock

Jay Hancock (pictured) was named shareholder and leader of the state and local tax practice at LBMC, Nashville.

HHM CPAs hired five professionals in the Chattanooga office: John Klisch as a technical partner in the accounting and assurance department; Stuart McCallum as a partner in the management advisory services department; Terry Winstead as a director in the accounting and assurance department; Brian Miller as a tax manager in the tax department; and Diane Mahoney as a senior accountant.

VIRGINIA

Ashley Summers, Kasey Pittman and Ryan Paul were promoted to senior tax managers at PBMares, Newport News.

WASHINGTON
