Kevin Matz, CPA, was hired as a partner in the personal client services group in the New York office of Stroock. He comes to the law firm after maintaining his own independent practice for eight years, and will be joined by associate Kadeen Wong. Matz concentrates on domestic and international estate and tax planning, estate administration and related litigation.
Julie Manteria was promoted to director of marketing at UHY Advisors, New York, where she will be responsible for all marketing initiatives for the Northeast and California offices, including New York City, Albany, West Hartford, Conn., and Orange County, Calif.
Michē Needham was named partner of Lumsden & McCormick, Buffalo. With over a decade of experience as a tax professional, she is responsible for development and implementation of tax strategies, planning, compliance and audit issues, and has experience in all areas of U.S. and state tax matters. Lumsden & McCormick also announced none other promotions.
