On the move: MACPA hosts swearing-in for new CPAs

MGO, Los Angeles, announced its business management team was honored by Variety and Billboard in their top annual business management lists. Tony Smalls, head of the entertainment, sports and media practice; Michael Meschures, business management partner; Will Price and Buwa Ijirigho, both business management directors, were named to Variety's 2024 Business Managers Elite list, and Smalls and Ijirigho were also named to Billboard's Top Business Managers of 2024 list. 

Laura Berry was named a shareholder at Windham Brannon, Atlanta, where she has worked since 2008 and currently serves as a leader of the advisory practice and member of the firm's operating committee. 

Seve Duncan was hired as a director in the audit & assurance services group at Katz, Sapper & Miller, Indianapolis. 

The Indiana CPA Society announced finalists for the 2024 INCPAS Awards honoring outstanding CPAs and related professionals in Indiana. Empowered, LLC; Katelyn Leichty, Kruggel Lawton CPAs; Christina Paddock, Christy Paddock Advisors; Sarah Schenkel, Katz, Sapper & Miller LLP; and Ashley Vukovits, LiftBridge. INCPAS also announced as winners, for the Advocacy Award: Benjamin Smith, Estep, Doctor & Co. PC; INCPAS Volunteer of the Year Award: Amanda Horvath, Katz, Sapper & Miller LLP; Chair's Award: Anita Sherman, retired; and the Distinguished Service Award: Kevin Hamernik, Forvis Mazars. In other news, INCPAS  and NABA launched ConnectIN, a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen talent pipelines, workforce development and entrepreneurship in accounting, finance, business, AI and emerging technologies.
