Todd Van Dusen

Todd Van Dusen, CEO at Brady Martz & Associates, Grand Forks, received a Leaders & Legacies award from Prairie Business magazine, recognizing high-ranking executives in the Dakotas and western Minnesota for the exceptional accomplishments they have made in business.

Cameron Petroff was promoted to chief marketing officer and Kelli Schweder to chief of staff at Sikich, Chicago. In other firm news, CEO Chris Geier won the Gold Globee Award for Executive Achievement of the Year and the Gold Globee Award for Maverick of the Year (Business Services) as part of the 16th annual Golden Bridge Awards, for his role in securing a significant minority growth investment from Bain Capital for Sikich.

MARYLAND

The Maryland Association of CPAs hosted its first High School Leadership Academy June 9-10 at the Junior Achievement of Central Maryland in Baltimore, giving student participants access to some of the profession's thought leaders and providing them with the education and resources to further their professional success.

The Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year.

The Public Interest Committee and the International Federation of Accountants have established a search committee to select the next chair of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board for an initial three-year term starting on Jan. 1, 2026, succeeding Ian Carruthers, IPSASB chair since 2016.

OKLAHOMA

Brandon Young, private wealth services tax leader in the central region, was named the new market managing principal in Oklahoma City at Grant Thornton, where he has worked for 20 years.

Nathaniel Yost, vice chair of the dealership group at Boyer & Ritter, Camp Hill, was elected to the firm's five-member executive committee.
