The Governmental Accounting Standards Board, Norwalk, announced a recent decision by the Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation to expand the size of the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council to add three organizations to its membership: Airports Council International — North America, the National Association of Black Accountants, and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, Nashville, announced that the Experience, Learn and Earn Program — jointly sponsored by NASBA and the American Institute of CPAs, and offered through Tulane University's School of Professional Advancement — currently has 94 summer-session students, representing more than 50 employers, up from 38 students in the spring and when it began offering the online courses last semester. The program is designed to ease attainment of the final 30 hours of the education requirement for CPA licensure
