ARKANSAS

Cheryl Deen

Cheryl Deen was promoted to principal at HCJ CPAs & Advisors, Little Rock, where she has worked since 1984.

CONNECTICUT

The Financial Accounting Foundation Board of Trustees, Norwalk, appointed Brad Hendricks to a three-year term on the Private Company Council, effective Jan. 1, 2024, and reappointed Robert Messer and Doug Uhl to their second and final three-year terms also beginning Jan. 1, 2024.

FLORIDA

Dana Hershkowitz

Dana Hershkowitz was hired as a tax principal in the tax compliance and advisory practice at Hancock Askew & Co., Tampa.

ILLINOIS

Adam Grinde

Adam Grinde was appointed managing partner for the Illinois market at Baker Tilly US, Chicago, where he has worked since 2008, succeeding Thomas Walker, who transitioned to the role of managing partner – central U.S.

Mary Joyce was promoted to principal at Friedman + Huey, Frankfort, where she has worked since 1998.

Gev Khan and Eric Evans were hired as partners in the newly expanded private equity service offerings at Crowe, in the New York City and Salt Lake City markets, respectively.

KENTUCKY

Dean Dorton appointed Lance Mann as the Louisville market leader and Elizabeth Woodward as the Lexington market leader.

Rhonda Clark, executive director of the Association for Accounting Marketing, Lexington, has signed the CEO Action Pledge for Diversity & Inclusion, a coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

NEW JERSEY

Magone & Co., Roseland, joined Alliott Global Alliance as a member of the international alliance.

The Institute of Management Accountants, Montvale, and the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting announced their annual scholarship recipients: Holly Bacon from Colorado State University-Pueblo and Samantha Terrell from Western Governors University as the undergrad recipients, and Ying Yan Wong from the University of Colorado-Denver as the graduate recipient. The recipients receive a monetary award along with member benefits from IMA, including a free student membership for three years, and the waiver of Certified Management Accountant entrance and exam fees.

The Innovation Lab is a dedicated space for collaboration, creativity and ideation and Innovation Ignite aims to equip firm members with skills in creative problem solving, analysis and design thinking via workshops and mentorship by firm leaders and external innovation experts.
