UHY, New York, announced a $25,000 sponsorship of the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, a global, philanthropic program providing for more than 60,000 children with life-threatening illnesses. The sponsorship program is intended to create more awareness, donations and volunteer support for the “Mission Awareness” campaign for the Double H Ranch, which is one hour north of UHY’s Albany office. On Dec. 22 from 7-8 p.m. ET, CBS 6 will air a 60-minute documentary on the Double H Ranch on both CBS and CW 15, with several “telethon breaks” for viewers to make a donation. As a sponsor, UHY will have a 30 second vignette airing at different times during the program schedule. (Read the
CohnReznick, New York, released a survey of 217 senior-level executives from various industries in the U.S. about “organizational chaos,” finding that it exists in 64 percent of those companies, but that they have no plan outlined to eliminate it. Meanwhile, 70.5 percent of respondents are prevented from solving the chaos due to time constraints. In other firm news, CohnReznick joined OSCRE (the Open Standards Cosortium for Real Estate) as an executive-level member. OSCRE International is focused on the development and implementation of standards that address the needs of corporate and investment real estate, effective data governance practices, and emerging technologies in the real estate business.

The International Federation of Accountants, London, announced three new board members were elected, and that it admitted two member organizations and one associate organization. The new board members are: Asmâa Resmouki, Morocco, nominated by Ordre Des Experts Comptables; ElbanoDe Nuccio, Italy, nominated by Consiglio Nazionale Dei Dottori Commercialisti Degli Esperti Contabili; and YacoobSuttar, Pakistan, nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. The two existing IFAC associates admitted as members were the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka, sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, and the Institute of Certified Accountants of Montenegro, sponsored by the Slovenian Institute of Auditors. Additionally, admitted as an IFAC associate was the Lithuanian Association of Accountants and Auditors, sponsored by the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors.
