Top 20 Firm Dixon Hughes Goodman announced it has raised more than $160,000 to fund scholarships in partnership with the National Association of Black Accountants.

Dubbed the "DHG LIFT Scholarship," the initiative will annually provide two to three students with $10,000 scholarships.

Funds were raised by DHG staff members, surpassing the original goal of $100,000. Fundraising included employee raffles, a virtual 5K run, and a virtual telethon with firm leaders.

“Throughout the LIFT Drive, we heard first-hand from our DHG team members who were so positively impacted from NABA and NABA scholarships," said DHG CEO Matt Snow in a statement. "Education opens doors and I am so proud of the firm and our people for seizing the opportunity to have a long-term impact on the lives of 15+ students."

The first two DHG LIFT Scholarship recipients were announced at the NABA National Convention on June 23: Dania Espinal, a student at the College of New Jersey, and Michael Idaewor, a student at the University of Georgia.
