Client experience platform AuditDashboard announced its AI Connectors, which let accounting firms connect Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot directly to their engagements, so agents can flag missing, incorrect or inconsistent evidence, follow up with clients, and use Provided by Client files while drafting working papers. AuditDashboard's AI Connectors, built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for securely connecting AI models to software, let firms' AI agents read from and write to their AuditDashboard engagements. People can use it to do things like add client companies and invite or deactivate users, create or roll forward engagements and assign teams, summarize portfolio status, performance, and identify engagements at risk. It will flag missing, incorrect or internally inconsistent evidence, draft follow-up questions and requests for clients, pull populations, select and upload samples, and draft working papers for auditor review using PBC files. The AI Connectors are built on AuditDashboard's role-based architecture. Users sign in via OAuth with their existing AuditDashboard credentials, and agents can only see and do what their role already allows. Every action is logged in the audit trail and visible in engagement activity feeds.

Numeric launches Financial Data Platform as ERP replacement

Data Warehouse

Close automation platform Numeric announced the launch of a Financial Data Platform, meant to be a replacement for enterprise companies with complex accounting needs. Numeric CEO Parker Gilbert premised the product on the idea that ERP systems, even AI-native ones, are still trying to replicate manual processes. Rather than storing journal entries that serve as an abstract record of the original transaction, Numeric stores the complete original object, retaining the original source document and its metadata, with debits and credits as one projection of that record rather than the record itself. The result is closer to a data warehouse with accounting logic than a typical ERP system. The goal is to make sure records arrive carrying enough context to be routed to the correct accounting treatment. Accountants define the rules once and review the exceptions. Details are queryable without exporting the data into a separate FP&A stack, so users can drill into things like the incremental software and hardware cost of another engineer, understand revenue by customer and product line pivoted by region, or project department costs after a reorganization. Background agents, applications and custom ledgers with hardcoded audit trails are a prompt away.

Users can ask questions about analysis results, explore identified risks, and understand the signals behind them without switching applications.

DataSnipper, an agentic automation platform for audit and finance teams, introduced Alwin by DataSnipper, an agentic platform that can run multistep audit and finance procedures autonomously, pulling and processing hundreds of documents from data sources and systems of record. Every output is tied to a snip in the source data, every step is logged, and every conclusion can be traced back to its origin. Agents can carry multistep work across evidence collection, verification and reporting, processing hundreds of documents and returning completed workpapers for review. Conclusions remain linked to source evidence through Snips, with visibility into agent and human changes and a record of activity to support review. Teams can create and share agents through a governed library, with controls over who can access, run and publish them, plus review gates and checkpoints around how work is executed.

Jertam2567 - stock.adobe.com
Accounting automation solutions provider Accounting Seed announced what it called a reimagined accounting experience that builds knowledge of each business's workflows, approval paths, policies and revenue recognition rules, then applies that knowledge when answering questions and completing work. A new workflow interface maps out the split between people, automation and AI. Teams can track who handles each task, from matching bank transactions to creating payables from incoming emails and managing recurring billings. Every action is attributed to the person or technology that performed it and recorded in the audit trail. Accounting Seed is also introducing the Close Hub to keep the close moving throughout the period. Finance teams can monitor open periods, track progress across ledgers and use an AI-powered template builder to propose the next close checklist item. They can also ask AI to investigate blocked work directly from the hub. In addition, Accounting Seed's Salesforce Hosted MCP lets customers connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other MCP-compatible assistants directly to live Accounting Seed data. Salesforce standard and specialized Accounting Seed tools span accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and inventory, supporting work from pulling balance sheets and aging summaries to building and routing payment proposals. Every request follows the user's permissions and is recorded in the audit trail. There is also a drag-and-drop Financial Reports Hub that lets teams analyze P&Ls and balance sheets across locations, product lines, periods and other dimensions. The redesigned experience provides personalized briefings highlighting financial information based on what each user needs to see, people and AI workflow views that let people see what the team owns and what AI and automation can handle, as well as spreadsheet-style navigation with configurable list views to filter, organize and review financial records.

Quote-to-cash platform Zuora is expanding Zuora AI from an assistant that answers questions into an AI operator that can actually complete finance work, while keeping a human in control. Now with Supervised Mode, AI can complete real quote-to-cash work, from write-offs to revenue releases and batch subscription changes, while a person still signs off on every one. The platform's Revenue Analysis Agent, for example, now goes beyond analyzing receivables and can execute on 16 new actions such as deferring or releasing revenue on a contract or performance obligation, with a preview before anything posts. It can update revenue forecasts, with current versus proposed shown side by side; manage revenue allocation and switch the allocation treatment (carve-in versus carve-out); and apply or release revenue and transfer holds, void billing events, and process revenue impairment. Other agents have been similarly enhanced, such as the Analytics Agent, which can now build custom reports; the Journal Entry Remediation Agent, which can directly manage journal entries; the Catalog and Pricing Agent, which gained the ability to turn a reviewed optimization recommendation into a live product or rate plan; and the IT Admin Agent, which can now author and simulate Custom Logic Functions and manage tenant settings from just a conversation.

Kantata launches Agent Studio to let professional service firms build own AIs

Kantata, a professional services automation solutions provider, introduced Agent Studio, made for building custom AI agents within the platform. Rather than confine agents to silos, Kantata provides a "superagent" that has context across the entire platform, including the data, the relationships between it, and how work gets done. With Agent Studio, firms can put that context to work without waiting for a vendor to build a new agent for every use case. A user simply describes the job they want an agent to handle in plain language. The Expertise Agent builds the agent through dialogue and refines it the same way. Every build and edit is automatically validated to ensure its inputs and outputs are structured correctly before it is published. Once published, the agent can be triggered by a person or automatically by a workflow using a single command. The format, escalation rules, level of detail, and required outputs for a recurring deliverable are captured in plain language and applied automatically.
