Dixon Hughes Goodman to Merge in Stegman & Company

Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP said Wednesday that Baltimore-based Stegman & Company will join the firm on June 1, 2016.

Stegman & Company, the oldest Maryland-based CPA firm, recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.

“DHG is enthusiastic to welcome Stegman & Company’s people, their rich history and their record of client service and industry leadership,” said DHG CEO Matt Snow in a statement. “Their significant experience and leadership within the financial services, private client services, construction, and technology & life sciences industries will be an asset as we expand further in the Mid-Atlantic region. Together we will focus on building valuable careers with our people and helping our clients achieve their goals.”

The current directors of Stegman include Virginia M. Anderson, James J. Dougherty, Elizabeth S. Gantnier, Michael M. Giuffrida, Garrett G. Parks, M. Conor Quinn, Keith N. Wiessner and William E. Williams, Jr., who will become partners or directors of DHG.

Dixon Hughes Goodman, based in Charlotte, N.C., ranked 17th on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $338 million in annual revenue.

“This represents our commitment to expanding our presence in Maryland and the Greater Baltimore area and brings the total DHG personnel in the market to approximately 250,” said DHG Mid-Atlantic regional managing partner Gary Thomson. “We are excited about the future.”
