Henry+Horne staff members volunteer at The Phoenix Dream Center; and MarksNelson holds its annual Volunteer Day across Kansas City.

HENRY+HORNE
The Phoenix Dream Center offers a variety of programs to assist families with limited resources through prevention and foster care programs.

MARKSNELSON
Volunteer Day is part of the firm's Marks of Kindness program, wherein staff members nominate nonprofits and choose the locations at which they want to volunteer.
Thirteen charities were selected this year, including: Junior Achievement; Cornerstones of Care – Gillis School; Habitat Restore; Heartland Therapeutic Riding; Alphapointe; KC Rescue Mission; Operation Breakthrough; American Cancer Society; Sleepyhead Beds; Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City; City Union Mission; Sherwood Autism Center; and Hope Faith Ministries.
This year’s Volunteer Day also included a food drive for a local food pantry to help combat the “summer nutrition gap,” when schools are on summer break and local children don't have access to school meals. MarksNelson ultimately donated 75 pounds of food and made monetary donations via the Marks of Kindness Foundation.
