Acumatica Sets Sights on German Midmarket

Bellevue, Wash.-based Acumatica, a developer of cloud-based accounting and enterprise resource planning software, has initiated a long-term agreement with German software vendor Lexware to bring cloud-based ERP solutions to the German market.

The partnership with Lexware is the latest in a string of international collaborative expansions for Acumatica. Some of the company’s most recent partnerships have been with MYOB in Australia, Censof in Malaysia, Visma in Norway and ACCEO in Canada.

“Acumatica is the perfect partner for Haufe Group to speed up our strategic transformation to the cloud,” explained CEO of Haufe Group Markus Reithwiesner in a satement. “The Acumatica platform will help us to realize a rapid market entry in a new customer segment and drive our ongoing company growth.”

“This is a very strategic alliance,” said Robert Mahowald, group vice president of applications and cloud business models for market intelligence provider International Data Corporation. “We recently recognized Acumatica as an ‘IDC Innovator,’ and partners such as Lexware need full-service cloud ERP capability to continue to thrive. The strength and flexibility of Acumatica’s platform should help Lexware get in market rapidly with competitive advantages.”

Lexware officials say the company is building on the Acumatica platform to specifically meet the needs of customers who have outgrown their existing business management software and require greater speed, value, and mobility.

Lexware is part of German software company Haufe Group.
